Time flies when you're avoiding homework

Hey Guys!
This has been a crazy year!  I feel like I say that all the time, so perhaps my life is just really crazy!  I feel pretty bad for not updating this in a while, or not being able to make more videos for youtube, but alas, thats life.
I recently learned that I got into my university of choice, and so next year I'll be moving away from home and heading to a whole new city filled with a whole bunch of new people!  (Well, its only about three hours away from home, but far enough haha) I hate to admit it, but I likely won't be taking my BJD up with me, and aside from a dorm room tour I doubt I have much to make videos about.  So we'll be going from rarely posting to almost never, which is lame I'll admit.  It's not like I wont try, but this will be a great opportunity for me to meet new people and try new things, so i'm not sure I'll have time to film every second.
But I still have the rest of my final year in high school to push though, so I'll be around for a little bit longer at least! I still have Sakura and Chibi Chibi con to look forward to!  We have some wild stuff planned and I'm sure it'll be a good time. I've been helping my friends make their RWBY costumes too, so we should have a video up with those sometime in 2015!
I'm currently in Canada for a relative's wedding, but as soon as I get home I'll be making another video!
See you then!

Working hard, or Hardly working?

While I feel completely exhausted, it's odd to say that I feel like I'm not getting enough progress done.  So much of my weekend is spent working on homework and music stuff that I have hardly any time to work on costumes, let alone videos.
This weekend was the first time in a long time I could put up some new videos for y'all.
First; I got a new wig in the mail for my Miou cosplay, so I made a review video for it (which you can check out here). I really love this wig! The colors seem to look really nice on me and I am so excited to put all of my costume togther with it! I just need to finish up working on my shorts and styling the wig then it should be completely finished! How exciting! (I can feel my heart go Doki Doki already)
Second, I made my first AMV!  I was going to enter it into Aki-Cons AMV contest, but I never got around to mailing it in, which is too bad because I really enjoyed it. Making this was quite the adventure in video editing, and id like to try it again in the future.
Then, lastly, I created a new channel!  40DayDream is going to be used for fashion or makeup related videos, which I've wanted to make for a while, but I didn't quite think would fit in with my Nekomewleta channel. This shouldn't reduce the amount of videos on Nekomewleta, as it simply is a completely different type of videos.
However, videos themselves might slow down a bit this October because I am going to be hosting an exchange student!  Making videos is often considered to be pretty weird, and I don't want to do anything that could make her feel uncomfortable living with us, so it's likely that I won't be filming as much or at all. I'm sorry about that, but things will pick up again in November!
However, that being said, HeySayCosplay should have a new video coming up this month that will be a blast to film. I'm really excited and I hope you guys will be too!
That's all I have to ramble about for now, and so I'll see you around!

Plans for this Fall

Finally, it's time for my favorite season of the year, Fall (or Autumn if I want to be relevant to the rest of the world). There is something that's just so magical about fall, from the changing of the leaves, to Halloween, it's all so fantastic!
I'm also really glad it's finally getting cooler out, while I really enjoyed this summer, I am not good at handling the heat!  I'm pumped to cuddle up in warm sweaters and blankets!
I have a surprising amount of stuff going on this season! September has been the first few weeks of school and swim team, as well as a planned trip to the state fair, October is my Birthday and costume making for November in which I'm attending Aki-Con and Nanowrimo is going on! With that and, swim team and Symphony I'll be busy. It'll be hard to get everything done, but I'll try my best!
Miou cosplay progress
I'm espiclly excited about Aki-Con, as it will be my first time ever attending it. I'll be cosplaying as Miou from Sabagebu which has easily been my favorite anime of the summer season. I've been recording progress shots as I work, so once I'm all done I'll put them together in a "project journal" sort of thing and upload it for you guys! (I hope you'll enjoy it!)  You can see how far I've gotten with it here,
WIXOSS!
Speaking of anime, there two shows I'm really excited to see this season Selector Spread WIXOSS and SHIROBAKO.
I watched the first season of WIXOSS as it came out last spring, and I've been pumped to see more! This show is awesome and if you're into trading card games and despair I'd recommend it!
SHIRIBAKA looks like it will be my sol for the season, from what I can tell, its about a group of cute girls working together to create their own anime.  I'm looking forward to it no doubt!
Getting back to cosplay (one of my favorite things to talk about ahaha) I'm just feeling really excited about starting my big project for the year!  I've mentioned my plans in another blog post, and I'll talk about them again in the future, no doubt, but this is going to be so much fun! (And so much work!)  With that and all my school work, and symphony, and sports, I'll be super busy, but it'll all be worth it. Another good thing is hopefully Hey Say Cosplay will be getting help from a more professional photographer so we can have some nice high quality shots (Not saying our current ones are bad, but we can always do better!)
It also looks like we are going to get some cosplay videos done soon, which I'm always excited for!
See you guys soon!

School Again

So far, I've only had three days of school, but in already feeling very, very tired. I'm so glad it's the weekend. This school year I have some really fun classes though, and I'm really feeling excited about them! It's also the first year I've been able to be in an art class, which is great!
Cutting Patterns
Hopefully I'll be filming some fun videos this week. I started working on a dress for an upcoming cosplay video, so I'll be filming bits of that, but I'm sure it will take more them a weekend. Sewing if one of those things where I always forget how long it takes to do anything, and always go "yeah I can totally do this in one day" hahaha nope!  But I really enjoy it anyway so it all works out.
Miou is the one with purple hair
Speaking of cosplay, a few other members of hey say cosplay and I plan on going up to Aki con this October!  I'm pretty pumped for that, because I've never been before and it would be super fun! I'm hoping to put togther a cosplay of Miou from Sabagebu, but seeing as I won't have too much time for sewing the next few weeks, I'll likely just try and find all the peices and see what I can make work. (Looks like I get to go thrifting!)
So, as my last weekend before youth symphony starts, I will be sure to fill it with cosplay hahahahaha. I hope all of you guys have enjoyed your summers, and I assure you you'll hear from me again soon.

Free Time is Bad for Me

The past few days have just been a bunch of free time for me, mostly because I got my wisdom teeth out.  I'm not really allowed to do anything super physical, so I've spend a fair amount of time in bed, reading, watching anime, and looking at doll stuff.
Man I need to start getting myself to stop "window" shopping online.
Taking selfies with my BJD
I've discovered that Dollheart is selling their Fukubukuro bag's again, which is something that always ends up really breaking my heart (and my wallet! As you can see in the box opening video I had made) so I'm really trying to keep myself from getting another.  I've also done some snooping into other Etsy shops that sell lucky bags that I might just have to try.
I've been having the worst luck when it comes to lucky packs as of late, but I always always want to try again (do I have a gambling problem?!).  The last time I got a Fukubukuro bag it was full of clothing I was not at all interested in,
It's sometimes just too hard to have expensive hobbies like cosplay and ball jointed dolls.  I love the communities involved in each, and I love the creative processes behind each of them, but they sure do drain the wallet.
Speaking of cosplay, hopefully later this week I'll be able to buy some fabric and supplies for the second of three costumes I'm making for a video for Hey Say Cosplay which will (hopefully) be a super adorable dress.  I always want to give you all the details, but I also want to keep the dresses a surprise as well haha.  This will likely be one of our bigger projects, working on making all the costumes, props, and likely even hiring one of my aspiring photographer friends to work with us on the shoot.  It'll be a ton of fun, and hopefully be as cute as I'd like it too.  But will all this free time, but nothing to work on, I've felt super frustrated haha. I just want to work on costumes!
It's so crazy to think that school will be starting up in less then a month.  My final year of high school is approaching!  Egads! Not only that by my eighteenth birthday will be very soon as well! (Not like that will really mean much to me, I'm not exactly super interested in getting tattoos or piercings because I'm such a pain wimp.)
I hope you guys are all having a fantastic end to your summer though!  I've been trying to finish up all my summer work, as well as prepare to do more work with a YMCA camp (which is easily the funniest work I have ever done).
See you guys around later!

Eye Candy - BJD Eyes Review

Today I got a fantastic package in the mail! I bought a custom pair of eyes from my friend Cazzie's eye store, called Eye Candy (that name is just so cute ahaha).  My order was for 16mm eyes styled like Tsumugi Kotobuki's from K-on! but instead of them being blue, I wanted them to be a pastel pink. And that's what I got!
The other set of eyes I own from Eye Candy
This is the second time I've ordered from eye candy, and both times I've been very satisfied with the order. I really love the eyes. They look so cute, and are sturdily made. I'm really glad that custom eyes are available, because that just gives you so many more options, especially if you are making a doll based on a certain character.
Eye Candy offers five different designs currently in nine different color options each, as well as the option for custom eyes. Eyes are available in sizes 14mm-22mm at a great price, so if you are looking for anime style eyes for your BJD or other type of doll, I would totally recommend Eye Candy!
You can see my video package opening and review here!
If you'd like to see photos of her new eyes, check them out here!
Welp, I've gotta go do summer homework, so I'll see you guys later.

How is July almost over?

It seems like this month just blasted by!
I've spent it doing leadership training, sewing, and doing plenty of Summer homework (Ew!) But I can't help but feel sad that the Summer days seem to just be slipping away.  It will be my Senior year at high school, and I've got to start planning for my future, which is frightening enough to think about, let alone do.  However, I do have a bit more time to enjoy the Summer, so I've been doing what I can!
This last week I spent a lot of my time working on sewing a cosplay dress.  This is one of three outfits that will be used in a CMV in the future.  While a lot of details for it need to be figured out still, I think It'll be a great video.  If you'd like to watch a video of me working on the dress, you can see it Here!
But thinking about it, if this month went by fast, the next will be even more so!  I'll be attending a music camp, and then working at a YMCA camp (Which I am super excited for!) Then swim season, school, and youth symphony will start up again, and I'll need to start applying to colleges.  Oh my gosh so much going on, so little time!
I hope you guys are having a great summer, and I'll hopefully hear from you soon!

Chinatown Seafair Parade 2014

Going on adventures with my friends is one of my favorite things, and today was a blast!
Three members of Hey Say Cosplay traveled up to Seattle today to help represent Sakura con in the Chinatown Seafair parade! We went as Matryoshka Vocaloids, and had a fantastic time.
JemmaKuma and I
I always love visiting Seattle!  It's such a diverse city, and this was actually my first time in it's Chinatown!  We passed by a few stores that I'd really like to visit in the future (possible walk around with me/haul videos!) and it was so cool to drive through parts of the city I don't get to see when I go up for Sakura Con itself. Seeing all the other cosplayers was amazing too.  It's so great to know we are part of such a fantastic group of people.  I met an adorable Miku there too, who also makes YouTube videos! Her channel is JemmaKuma! She's totally a lot more popular then me, but makes adorable videos that you might just want to check out! (She also does modeling and wow she is cute!  I'm totally becoming a fangirl of her but she's awesome!
I made a short video of the footage I took from the parade, which you can see here!

So as for the rest of this week, I'll be heading to the good ol' fabric store and start working on some new costume, which I will probably be vlogging about my progress.  Later this week, or early next, I should be getting my surprise BJD item I talked about in my last post, and will be making videos related to that.
See you then!

Return From The Outside World

Who is this mysterious person writing this blog post, who has been missing for two weeks?
I'm back!
While my vacation was great, and I had a fantastic time at camp, I'm ready to get back to video making, cosplay creating, and sleeping in! (All very important things hahaha).  Hopefully I'll be posting plenty in the next two weeks to keep you entertained (Then it's off to another camp for me haha)
As far as video plans go, I have a few ideas in the works.  There will be a BJD video in the next month I'm very excited for making, but the main part of it isn't home yet so I can't exactly film it yet (and no I didn't buy a new doll), but it'll be very exciting once it does get here.  We also have some more cosplay videos slowly in the works, one of which I really need to start sewing for, so I need to hop skip jump my way to the fabric store sometime soon.

Something that is also exciting in the cosplay spectrum is that part of Hey Say Cosplay will be a part of the annual Chinatown Seafair Parade, joining other cosplayers to represent Sakura-Con!  I will totally record footage there and put together a video of the fun!
Speaking of making videos, my fellow cosplayer, CosplayDiva58, has posted some super cute videos to her channel recently, including this one that I really like named Matsuri! She's hasn't used YouTube for long (Well, compared to an oldie like me) but I really want to share her videos and let other people enjoy them as much as I do!
In terms of things that are not videos, I have been super into a few different things this month, and seeing as I never get around to making monthly favorites videos, I figure that I might as well share them here!
Such a cutie!
First, Azone dolls. Man those things are cute!  If I can budget out getting one (along with buying cosplay supplies, school supplies, ect ect) I totally would love to own one.  They are simply adorable! I love the Witch dolls, especially the "Little Witch of the Water". The only real problem with them is their availability, but I'm sure I could find a way to get her. (Again, only if I budget it out though, seeing as I'm trying to save for a car now also!)
Second, the anime Sabagebu!  OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS.  I love this show so much so far, and only two episodes are out!  It's a combination of cute girls, guns, and slice of life.  It's basically everything you ever could have wanted in a show.  It doesn't take itself to seriously, and the characters are all really fun! I showed it to some of my other, anime enjoying, friends and they both liked it too!  It's even something I've been considering cosplaying! (It also includes a main character who may just be the best MC for the season, for real though she is great)
Best MC? Best MC
So thats all I have to share for now, I'll be posting more this week, and the footage from the parade should be up sometime next week. I'll try to prerecord some videos for the next camp I got to, but my life is always a bit of a mess so no promises.

Now I've got to get back to work cleaning!
See you around!

Cooking with Vocaloids

Oh my golly gosh gee, this is a project I have spent a long time working on, and I am so excited that it's finally done! If you guys haven't already see the video, check it out here!
This went better then I ever could of expected! Cooking with Vocaloids was an idea we had way back when we started making videos as a group, and I wrote the script more then a year ago. I always had this idea for a cute goofy cooking show with Vocaloids, and I'm happy to see it finally come to life.  Creating the little graphics and other things for this video was also super fun, and we all put a lot of hard work into it.  Creating, and especially editing, these videos is something I really enjoy doing, and I'm glad I've had the opportunity to.

whether or not we continue making these videos is up in the air, but I would really like to. Getting the group together to film is always such a blast, and I really enjoy their company. Filming with them is one of my favorite things to do ever basically. I just love making videos, and they have to put up with me all the time being a goof haha. But really, I had such a great time doing it!
If you'd like to see more of our cosplay group, we have some other videos up on our channel, as well as a facebook page!
See you guys later!

BJD Addicts Challenge 4: Summer Outfit

Sewing doll clothes is amazingly hard.  Really it was horrible, I'd want to use the sewing machine, but the dress was just too small.  I've also remembered how bad I am at hand sewing, so some parts are totally worse then others.  But really, this was a lot of fun, and I think what I did come up with is really cute.
You can see some nicer pictures of her outfit here
I really want to make another dress using the same pattern, but try making a sailor collar for it instead of the (Too small) rounded one. I know at one point the pattern was online, but I don't think I can find it anywhere anymore, which is really sad.  Thankfully I have a few of them printed off still right now, but I really want that sailor collar ahaha.
Well I hope you enjoyed the video (Its here if you haven't seen it) and I will see you guys again soon!

Daiso Haul and Life Update!

If there is anything I truly love in life, its Daiso.  Wow that sounded less depressing in my head, but really, Daiso is a wonderful store full of fantastic goodies.  While its typically referred to as a "Japanese dollar store" the quality of its products is worlds above any other dollar store I've ever visited. Not only are the products high quality, but are also really really cute.
So lets get on with the haul! (You can watch the video haul here!)
I actually bought a lot of cleaning supplies this time around, mostly because I was recently hired to do some weekly cleaning, and I wanted to buy my own supplies that I could easily carry through the house. (I also just wanted cute cleaning stuff not going to lie)
Adorable sponges

Notebook
I also picked up some stationary stuff and I'm really excited to use it.  The notebooks are really adorable and the letter sets from daiso are to die for!
Lastly I bought some hair accessorys to keep my hair up when it gets hot out!
Ahh so cute!

Overall I am super happy, as always, with everything I bought.  Daiso is always full of wonderful things, so if you can I would recommend checking it out!  Also, the best thing about it is that I spent less then 20$ on all of this!
So check out the video haul, and I'll see you guys again soon with a BJD video!
I've been trying to keep myself very busy this summer with different projects.  Hopefully you'll be able to hear more about some of them soon! I really want to do a lot of cosplay stuff this summer, and (If I can manage to plan it haha) our cosplay group will likely have another cosplay video up within the next month!  I hope you guys have a lot of fun plans with friends!

I haven't forgotten my BJD!

Kid Delf Jamong
It's been a long time since I've done anything BJD related. I feel pretty bad about it, not going to lie, Delilah has been in her box the past few weeks due to me doing some spring cleaning. But I recently had some free time on my hands (I'd been up in Seattle the taking care of some family stuff which mostly consisted of me sitting alone in waiting rooms) and I decided to check back in on the ol' DoA forms. Woah it's been a while. But after remembering how to navigate them, I was reminded of how much I like my doll, and how much I would like to get another. I don't think I'll be able to anytime soon, but it's always fun to do a bit of window shopping. I would like to get another Kid Delf from Luts if I can, that would be Delilah's twin sister. Likely she would be a Kid Delf Jamong.
Gosh, the real problem with dolls is their price ahaha, espiclly now that I'm looking at universities, doing any big spending isn't really what I want to do right now. Even if I had time this summer to get a job, I would just want to save it for school. But one day, one day I will get another doll ahaha. For now I just bought a new pair of eyes for Deiliah from my friend Cazzie's eye store Eye Candy.
I hope you guys are having a great spring/summer brake for those of you that are off now. Today was my last day of junior year, and I'm happy to be free for the summer!
I'll try to make a video soon! So see you guys soon!

Matryoshka Headband Tutorial

Hello you guys!
I made a tutorial video for the first time in a longggg time.  But now that I have my super secret weapon (Aka my new mic) I can hopefully go about making more of these!
City for your head yes yes
This video was a tutorial for how to make a Vocaloid Matryoshka headband.  I first made on of these for Hey Say Cosplay's Matryoshka CMV, and I thought it looked totally cool, so I wanted to share how to make them with the world.  Matryoshka is a great first time cosplay because it's easy to make, and this is just something that will make the costume look extra cool!  Thankully my friend and fellow cosplayer Hailey was kind enough to act as a model for me, so I could have someone who looks super cute wear it with her costume! You can see photos of her cosplay's on Hey Say Cosplay's Facebook page!
I hope that the voice over isn't too weird, it was my first time doing it and I was a bit nervous, but I really like my new microphone so I hope you guys enjoyed it!
In other news, life around here has been a bit crazy for me.  Thankfully I'm in the middle of a four day weekend, so I have some time to take care of cleaning, homework, and yes, video making.  With finals coming up, as well as now making dinner a few times a week, I've been keeping myself very busy.  However, when I do have some time to myself I've found myself looking on the Luts website fairly often, and I've been feeling pretty inspired to so some BJD stuff, so possibly watch out for that in the future.
That's All I have to say for now, so be sure to check out my Matryoshka Headband Tutorial and tell me what you think!
See ya!

Plans for Cosplay as of May

There is little I can say, aside from that I am extremely excited for cosplaying this summer.  Our group, Hey Say Cosplay, is planning some really REALLY cool stuff (can you tell I’m excited?)
First of all, we are going to finish up all our costumes and weapons for RWBY, then film a CMV for it. While putting together Nora’s hammer is going to be a challenge, making the CMV should be really fun and I’m excited for us to all have our costumes done.
We also have some smaller projects planned for videos, including one we've had in the works for over a year!  The costumes aren't very complex, so I've personally volunteered to make them as sewing practice.  I really want to be able to make nice looking costumes, as well as clothes for myself (Looking through vintage Vogue patterns makes my heart flutter). And seeing as our costumes are just going to get bigger and better, it would be best to make sure I know what I’m doing.
Then, for next year, we have something much much more wonderful planned.  We are going to (hopefully) have our group go as Vocaloid: Story of Evil.
The Designs

This is just too cool for me to handle, and I am pumped to get to work on my costume.  As I often am, I will be our groups Meiko, which means I get to adventure into making some armor and a sword.  We are basing our costumes on these designs by Dj-MewMew on DeviantArt.  I already have some plans in mind for how I’m going to put together my costume, and as soon as our group confirms our plans I’ll be getting to work on it.  This time I can hopefully film some of the progress which I had planned to do for my Nora cosplay, but most of time I was working on it I looked pretty gross so I wouldn't want to show myself and wouldn't feel very inspired to film.  I’m hoping I can get past that for this costume, because I really want it to be amazing, and may have to ask you guys for your opinions on how to make it even better! In my latest video I start working on making a bustier to use for the top of my costume already, I am just so pumped to work on this!
That’s all for now!  Make sure to check out these my Sewing and a New Blog? video, as well as my Sakura Con 2014 Haul! See you guys around!

Starting Something New

It's funny to think it's almost been a year since I made a longer post, or simply, a blog post. My LiveJournal didn't work well for me, and my Tumblr just wasn't the right place for longer posts, so now I'm trying again here.
My plan for this blog is to use it alongside my YouTube videos (Found here!).  It will essentially be used for adding more information to the topic I go over in my videos.  Of course not everything will be related to videos, as I also plan on making more fashion related posts as well as posts on what shows and books I'm into!
I really hope you guys enjoy them!
As for what I'm up to now; I have just been crazy busy.  From finishing up my junior year in high school, to playing oboe in multiple concerts I haven't had much time for anything.  Unfortunately, on top of that, my dad has recently had some medical problems and has been mostly bedridden.  Because of that I have had to take on a few more challenges (But at least now I know how to use the lawn mower!).
This is all for now, but Hopefully you will hear again from me shortly!  Bye bye for now!
