Do You Feel Better?~

When I first got back into Gaia, I was dead set on making the perfect nurse outfit.  I spend billions of coins collecting items until I was satisfied with making the best creepy cute nurse I could.  However, now that Halloween is long gone I had to move onto different styles and characters to create.  But man I still love all my nurse stuff.

So with that in mind, I really wanted to do some sewing for my doll Delilah, who is now about four years old (!!!) and I figured a nurse outfit would be prefect, so I designed my ideal outfit on Gaia, and went for it.
I really went all out with the "Lets wing it" thing, and did all of it by hand guessing.  I drew the pattern straight onto the fabric and messed around till I got what I wanted.  This makes me really glad I sewed my cosplays in the past, so I already have a pretty basic understanding of sleeves and how to fit everything together. I have no clue what I'll be using this outfit for in the future, but I sure like it! Perhaps I'll finally get around to taking nice photos of her again. I was thinking of trying to make an actual pattern out of this, but it's really too messy to do any good.  If any of you are interested though. I can make an in depth explanation of how I made it. It's pretty amazing how quickly I can make stuff like this now, it only took a few hours!
For now, enjoy these cute photos!
See you next time!

Lush Kitchen Japan Haul

My wonderful exchange student sent me a New Years gift full of Lush goodies!  She knew I was a big fan of Lush (my bathroom is practically full of Lush products), so this was a very sweet gift!
Because some of these products are from the Lush kitchen, and because Japanese packaging is simply really interesting to look at, I figured I would share them with you! Reading the packaging is a great way to practice reading Japanese!
You can watch my video haul above, or on YouTube Here!

Swimming in my MagicTail

Today my friend NijiEmpress16 and I went to a local pool to practice swimming in our tails.  We used the lap pool, so sadly I couldn't get much footage, but the little I did get you can check out here!
It also doesn't help that I suck at using the little waterproof bag I got for filming using my phone, haha.
Overall it was a pretty good experience.  I've heard things about people getting asked to leave pools for wearing tails, but both of us were just fine.  We were told we just needed to stay out of the way of other swimmers and everything went fine!  One lifeguard even asked for a photo of NijiEmpress's tail!  She thought it was really cool :D It's a great core workout, but really BRING GOGGLES! My eyes are stinging like crazy because I broke my last pair during the end of swim season and went without.  Big mistake, my eyes were bright red :P
Hopefully in the future we can get to a lake to film at and get some better/cool shots. It's still really cold out here though, so we may have to wait a while.  Someone time soon I'll be making a full video review of my MagicTail.  For now I can just say that swimming in it is a breeze and super fun.
I hope you guys enjoy the video! Also you can check out NijiEmpresse's unboxing video (That I'm also in
For now you can enjoy the Gaia Online avatar I made of myself as a mermaid :P (PS add me on Gaia!)
See you guys next time!

Time flies when you're avoiding homework

Hey Guys!
This has been a crazy year!  I feel like I say that all the time, so perhaps my life is just really crazy!  I feel pretty bad for not updating this in a while, or not being able to make more videos for youtube, but alas, thats life.
I recently learned that I got into my university of choice, and so next year I'll be moving away from home and heading to a whole new city filled with a whole bunch of new people!  (Well, its only about three hours away from home, but far enough haha) I hate to admit it, but I likely won't be taking my BJD up with me, and aside from a dorm room tour I doubt I have much to make videos about.  So we'll be going from rarely posting to almost never, which is lame I'll admit.  It's not like I wont try, but this will be a great opportunity for me to meet new people and try new things, so i'm not sure I'll have time to film every second.
But I still have the rest of my final year in high school to push though, so I'll be around for a little bit longer at least! I still have Sakura and Chibi Chibi con to look forward to!  We have some wild stuff planned and I'm sure it'll be a good time. I've been helping my friends make their RWBY costumes too, so we should have a video up with those sometime in 2015!
I'm currently in Canada for a relative's wedding, but as soon as I get home I'll be making another video!
See you then!

Working hard, or Hardly working?

While I feel completely exhausted, it's odd to say that I feel like I'm not getting enough progress done.  So much of my weekend is spent working on homework and music stuff that I have hardly any time to work on costumes, let alone videos.
This weekend was the first time in a long time I could put up some new videos for y'all.
First; I got a new wig in the mail for my Miou cosplay, so I made a review video for it (which you can check out here). I really love this wig! The colors seem to look really nice on me and I am so excited to put all of my costume togther with it! I just need to finish up working on my shorts and styling the wig then it should be completely finished! How exciting! (I can feel my heart go Doki Doki already)
Second, I made my first AMV!  I was going to enter it into Aki-Cons AMV contest, but I never got around to mailing it in, which is too bad because I really enjoyed it. Making this was quite the adventure in video editing, and id like to try it again in the future.
Then, lastly, I created a new channel!  40DayDream is going to be used for fashion or makeup related videos, which I've wanted to make for a while, but I didn't quite think would fit in with my Nekomewleta channel. This shouldn't reduce the amount of videos on Nekomewleta, as it simply is a completely different type of videos.
However, videos themselves might slow down a bit this October because I am going to be hosting an exchange student!  Making videos is often considered to be pretty weird, and I don't want to do anything that could make her feel uncomfortable living with us, so it's likely that I won't be filming as much or at all. I'm sorry about that, but things will pick up again in November!
However, that being said, HeySayCosplay should have a new video coming up this month that will be a blast to film. I'm really excited and I hope you guys will be too!
That's all I have to ramble about for now, and so I'll see you around!

Plans for this Fall

Finally, it's time for my favorite season of the year, Fall (or Autumn if I want to be relevant to the rest of the world). There is something that's just so magical about fall, from the changing of the leaves, to Halloween, it's all so fantastic!
I'm also really glad it's finally getting cooler out, while I really enjoyed this summer, I am not good at handling the heat!  I'm pumped to cuddle up in warm sweaters and blankets!
I have a surprising amount of stuff going on this season! September has been the first few weeks of school and swim team, as well as a planned trip to the state fair, October is my Birthday and costume making for November in which I'm attending Aki-Con and Nanowrimo is going on! With that and, swim team and Symphony I'll be busy. It'll be hard to get everything done, but I'll try my best!
Miou cosplay progress
I'm espiclly excited about Aki-Con, as it will be my first time ever attending it. I'll be cosplaying as Miou from Sabagebu which has easily been my favorite anime of the summer season. I've been recording progress shots as I work, so once I'm all done I'll put them together in a "project journal" sort of thing and upload it for you guys! (I hope you'll enjoy it!)  You can see how far I've gotten with it here,
WIXOSS!
Speaking of anime, there two shows I'm really excited to see this season Selector Spread WIXOSS and SHIROBAKO.
I watched the first season of WIXOSS as it came out last spring, and I've been pumped to see more! This show is awesome and if you're into trading card games and despair I'd recommend it!
SHIRIBAKA looks like it will be my sol for the season, from what I can tell, its about a group of cute girls working together to create their own anime.  I'm looking forward to it no doubt!
Getting back to cosplay (one of my favorite things to talk about ahaha) I'm just feeling really excited about starting my big project for the year!  I've mentioned my plans in another blog post, and I'll talk about them again in the future, no doubt, but this is going to be so much fun! (And so much work!)  With that and all my school work, and symphony, and sports, I'll be super busy, but it'll all be worth it. Another good thing is hopefully Hey Say Cosplay will be getting help from a more professional photographer so we can have some nice high quality shots (Not saying our current ones are bad, but we can always do better!)
It also looks like we are going to get some cosplay videos done soon, which I'm always excited for!
See you guys soon!
